Dine & Discover Delivers More Than $2 Million to Northern Beaches Businesses

Customers and businesses in the Northern Beaches have given the NSW Government’s Dine & Discover program the thumbs up, with new figures released today showing strong uptake.

Member for Manly James Griffin said the vouchers have brought much needed stimulus to a region impacted heavily by the pandemic.

“There is no doubt this program is helping our local business owners. Almost 500 local businesses and more than 113,000 customers have registered for the program, with close to 89,000 vouchers redeemed so far,” Mr Griffin said.

“That means more than $2 million has been redeemed by customers in a matter of months.

“This is great news and strong indication that the program is getting people out and about safely and boosting businesses.

“Getting your vouchers is simple and can be done online in a few minutes.”

Mr Griffin also reminded businesses of financial assistance available to them to help recover from the impacts of the pandemic.

“I encourage businesses to check their eligibility for the State Government’s $1500 rebate, which can be used for a range of small business fees and charges, including food authority licences, liquor licences and council rates,” Mr Griffin said.

“Applications for the Northern Beaches small business hardship grant will open in the coming days. Businesses may be eligible for a one-off grant of $3000 or $5000 to help with a host of expenses, such as utilities or rent, and marketing and communications activities.”
