FREE-ENTRY FUN AWAITS THESE SCHOOL HOLIDAYS

Families across NSW will benefit from an abundance of free and discounted arts and cultural experiences these winter holidays, thanks to the NSW Government’s $5.9 million commitment to support free entry to museums and galleries over the next 12 months.

Member for Manly James Griffin MP encouraged people to enjoy free entry to a number of cultural institutions across Sydney.

“The NSW Government is committed to boosting your budget through making museums and galleries accessible for all. This is just one of the great ways the NSW government is assisting with cost of living measures, Mr Griffin said.

“If you and your family are looking for something fun to do these school holidays, I encourage you to take advantage of this great opportunity”.

Minister for Arts Ben Franklin said supporting free general admission to cultural institutions will help break down barriers to participation – ensuring everyone can access inspiring arts and cultural experiences.
“I want more people to participate in the arts, and one of the best ways the NSW Government can promote that is by making it more affordable and accessible for individuals and families,” Mr Franklin said.

“These school holidays I’m encouraging everyone to get face-to-face with dinosaurs at the Australian Museum, learn about our nation’s rich history at the Sydney Living Museum, and discover the secrets of space at the Powerhouse Museum, it is a great way to get kids out of the house and into the arts.”

“There really is something on offer for everyone, and the exhibitions and events will delight adults and children alike.”
