Community Service Hubs a Win-Win for Manly

Member for Manly James Griffin has congratulated Northern Beaches Council on their adoption of the Draft Community Development & Services Policy, which will be a win-win for the community with the Chief Executive Officer to commence discussions with community groups to progress the first community service hub in Manly.


“The Manly Soldiers Memorial Hall on Raglan Street has been a part of the fabric of our community for decades,” Mr Griffin said.

Funding to Assist Entrepreneurial Northern Beaches Migrants

Member for Manly James Griffin has announced a $10,000 grant to support new migrants who are based on the Northern Beaches and are wanting to start their own businesses.


Manly-based not-for-profit SEVENmile Venture lab will deliver the 6 day intensive program to people who have recently migrated to the Northern Beaches and for who English is a second language.


SEVENmile was successful through the NSW Government’s Celebrating Diversity Grants.

Proposed State Heritage Listing of Ivanhoe Park Reaches Next Phase

The proposed State Heritage listing of Manly’s iconic Ivanhoe Park, including Manly Oval, is on track to be assessed as state significant, Member for Manly James Griffin announced today.


Mr Griffin said public submissions had just closed for the nomination and it was expected the Ivanhoe Park listing would be presented soon to the State Heritage Register Committee.

Sea Eagles Centre of Excellence to Take Flight Thanks to NSW Government

The NSW Government has today announced it will make a major contribution to a new Centre of Excellence at Brookvale Oval set to build our sports stars of tomorrow and to be the new heart of the Manly Warringah Sea Eagles.


Member for Manly James Griffin said the State Government contribution of $20 million for the Manly Sea Eagles Centre of Excellence will ensure the much loved game of rugby league will be supported to ensure future generations of young players coming through the ranks will have the best facilities possible on the Beaches.
