1,500 New Police to Keep the Community Safe

Member for Manly James Griffin has welcomed the NSW Government’s announcement that 1,500 new police will be added to the NSW Police Force – the largest increase in 30 years.


“The 1,500 extra police will benefit every single community across NSW including Manly and the Northern Beaches, thanks to a record investment of $583 million by the Liberals and Nationals Government,” Mr Griffin said.

More Defibrillators for Local Sporting Clubs

Two more sports clubs in North Manly and Curl Curl will receive funding from the NSW Government towards the purchase of life-saving technology to assist people experiencing cardiac emergencies.


Member for Manly James Griffin said the Manly Bombers Junior AFL club and NSW Squash at North Manly had been successful in securing grant funding towards the purchase of an Automated External Defibrillator (AED) as part of the Local Sports Defibrillator Program.

Funding Announced for Community Building Partnership 2018

Nation's First Youth Hospice a Step Closer

A first look at Australia’s first ever hospice for young adults, to be built on the Manly Hospital site, has been unveiled today by the NSW Government.


Premier Gladys Berejiklian, Health Minister Brad Hazzard and Member for Manly James Griffin also launched a community fundraising program for the Adolescent and Young Adult Hospice.


“This will be a purpose-built, first-of-its-kind facility, which will provide 24/7 support to young people and their families,” Ms Berejiklian said.
