Curl Curl North Secures Budget Funding

Local families are set to benefit from the NSW Government’s record investment in education, with funding to deliver a major upgrade at Curl Curl North Public School provided through this year’s NSW Government Budget.

 

Work is already underway on the design of a significant upgrade to Curl Curl North Public School which will contain new permanent teaching spaces and upgraded core facilities to address increased enrolment growth in the local area. Funding provided this year will facilitate the construction and delivery of the new school.

Grant Secured to Assist At-Risk Women in Manly

James Griffin MP has secured a grant for the Manly Women’s Shelter. The grant will provide added security and relief for at-risk women in Manly and on the Northern Beaches.

 

After lobbying the NSW Government, Mr Griffin secured the $3,000 grant to purchase new furniture in resident’s bedrooms; in particular new and secure bedside tables for the added peace of mind for residents and staff.

Funding Boost for Manly to Work with Homeless

The NSW Government will provide $14,500 to Manly Community Centre and Services to help at-risk homeless and transient people on the Northern Beaches.

 

Member for Manly James Griffin and NSW Attorney General Mark Speakman today announced the project would be supported by the government’s $10 million Community Safety Fund.

 

“Manly Community Centre and Services works closely with homeless people to reduce anti-social behaviour and improve community safety,” Mr Griffin said.

Local Sporting Clubs to Get More Flexibility on Sporting Ground Use

James Griffin MP has secured a NSW Government grant for the Manly Bombers JAFC and Warringah Hockey Club. The funding will increase the flexible use of the sporting facilities at Weldon Oval and the adjacent Frank Grey and Mike Pawley ovals.
