Northern Beaches Welcomes New MRI Licence

Patients on the Northern Beaches will soon be able to access life saving scans for cancer, stroke, heart and other medical conditions with the Federal Government announcing a new MRI licence for the new Northern Beaches Hospital which is opening in late 2018.


Member for Manly James Griffin welcomed the support from the Federal Government to support the new health infrastructure being delivered on the Northern Beaches by the NSW Government.

NSW Students to Tour European Battlefields

Member for Manly James Griffin has called on secondary schools on the Northern Beaches to apply to participate in the 2019 Premier’s Anzac Memorial Scholarship, which will give 20 high school students the chance to see firsthand the battlefields that fill the pages of Australia’s military story.


The lucky Year 10 and 11 history students will visit historic sites and battlegrounds in Germany, France and Belgium to deepen their understanding of the causes of war and to commemorate the service of Australians in World War I and II.

More Savings for the NSW Seniors Card

Businesses providing essential services, products, and entertainment on the Northern Beaches are the target of a renewed NSW Government push to entice more businesses to join the Seniors Card program, it was announced this week.


Member for Manly James Griffin said the number of participating businesses offering discounts to Seniors Card holders has more than tripled since 2015.
