Local Pharmacists Join the COVID Frontline

Seven pharmacists have joined the vaccination rollout in the Manly area, with more coming online across the Northern Beaches within days.

In June this year just 49 pharmacies around Australia had taken up the opportunity to vaccinate people, by August nearly 6,000 pharmacies had registered. The Northern Beaches will have pharmacists administering vaccinations from Manly to Palm Beach

“Our success depends on getting vaccinated. With Pharmacies joining the frontline this week there are now even more places to get your jab. I would like to thank the local pharmacists who are known and trusted in our community for their efforts” Mr Griffin said.

Individuals who meet the current eligibility criteria for the COVID-19 vaccine and who don’t have a Medicare card will now be able to receive their FREE vaccine at their local community pharmacy.
