Funding Announced for Community Building Partnership 2018

The electorate of Manly has today secured almost $330,000 in funding for a total of thirteen projects through the NSW Government’s 2018 Community Building Partnership Program.

 

Member for Manly James Griffin said the State Government funds will deliver much-needed improvements to local facilities including surf and sporting clubs, local schools and community organisations:

 

“Strong economic management and strong economy ensures we are in a position to invest in these important local projects, such as the Tibetan refugee driving program to a new outdoor LED scoreboard for Manly Oval,” Mr Griffin said.

 

“Funding for this grassroots projects such as this will directly help to create a more vibrant and inclusive local community with a variety of positive social and recreation outcomes.

 

“I congratulate all the organisations that were successful in their application and look forward to seeing how these projects make a real difference for community groups in the area.”

The Community Building Partnership program has funded some 13,800 community projects since it commenced nearly a decade ago.
