St Cecilia's to Welcome Two New Crossing Supervisors

Safety for students at St Cecilia’s Catholic Primary School in Balgowlah will be strengthened with two of 88 new school crossing supervisors to soon be appointed as students return to the classroom.

Member for Manly James Griffin said St Cecilia’s was one of 80 schools across the state preparing to welcome a new school crossing supervisor as part of the NSW Government’s plan to fast track the appointment of 300 new school crossing supervisors within three years.   


Discount Fees on Seniors' Pets

NSW Seniors looking for a canine companion or feline friend on the Northern Beaches can take advantage of a 50 per cent discount on adoption fees for senior pets at RSPCA NSW shelters.

Member for Manly James Griffin said the offer is open to NSW Seniors Card and Senior Savers Card holders in NSW.

“We know there are so many Seniors in our community who would benefit from the company of a devoted dog or a cuddly cat,” Mr Griffin said.


Thousands of People Supported by Ageing and Disability Commission

The NSW Ageing and Disability Commission has supported thousands of the state’s most vulnerable people across the state during its first year in operation.

Member for Manly James Griffin said the Commission, led by Robert Fitzgerald AM, was helping protect adults with disability and older people from abuse, neglect and exploitation in their family, home and community.

“Everyone has the right to live free from abuse and we all have a role to play to ensure older people and adults with a disability are protected,” Mr Griffin said.
