MANLY SCHOOLS SET TO SHINE

Schools in Manly are benefiting from improvements in their classrooms and reductions in their power bills thanks to the NSW Government’s LED Lighting Upgrade Program.

The $157.8 million program, launched in October 2020 as a stimulus response to the COVID-19 pandemic, will see fluorescent lights replaced with more energy efficient LED lights in primary and high schools across NSW.

Member for Manly James Griffin said the NSW Liberals and Nationals Government’s Lighting Upgrade Program is not only improving schools but also supporting jobs in metro areas. 


NEW AND IMPROVED SCHOOL FACILITIES IN MANLY

Communities across Manly are set to benefit from new and improved school facilities thanks to the NSW Government’s $120 million Metro Renewal Program. 

Member for Manly James Griffin said the Metro Renewal Program is driven by what school communities want, and includes work such as upgrades to school halls, science labs and staff facilities.


ABORIGINAL LANGUAGES REVITALISED IN NSW SCHOOLS

Students in Manly will soon be able to learn from the highest quality Aboriginal languages syllabus in the country with the release of a new Aboriginal Languages syllabus.

Local Member for Manly James Griffin said NSW is proudly home to more than 35 Aboriginal Language groups, and more than 100 dialects of those languages.
