NEW WARNING SYSTEM AS STORM SEASON BEGINS

Residents in Manly are being urged to familiarise themselves with the NSW State Emergency Service’s (SES) new warning system as the official Storm Season begins.

Member for Manly James Griffin said the SES is adopting the national three-tiered system to provide communities with greater clarity.


NSW GOVERNMENT SUPPORTING CUSTOMERS IMPACTED BY OPTUS DATA BREACH

NSW Government is working with Optus to support customers affected by the recent cyberattack.

Optus has confirmed some customers may have had a range of information accessed including passport and driver licence details as a result of the breach.

Information potentially accessed will vary depending on what was originally provided by the customer to Optus.

Member for Manly James Griffin said customers in NSW can immediately begin the recovery process by ordering a replacement licence.


STORM TRUCK READY FOR WILD WEATHER SEASON

A new state-of-the-art Medium Storm Vehicle will be deployed on the Northern Beaches to bolster the NSW State Emergency Service’s (SES) response to the upcoming storm season.

Minister for Emergency Services and Resilience and Minister for Flood Recovery joined Member for Manly James Griffin and SES Deputy Commissioner Daniel Austin at the Manly SES Unit today to officially hand over the keys to the $245,000 purpose-built truck.
