FREE PROGRAM TO ACCELERATE DIGITAL SKILLS FOR TOURISM OPERATORS IN MANLY

The NSW Government is launching a Digital Skills Accelerator for Tourism program to help Manly tourism businesses transform their online marketing.

 

Destination NSW has partnered with digital consultancy Tourism Tribe to offer the free program to accommodation providers, tour companies and visitor attractions.

 

James Griffin MP Member for Manly said the Digital Skills Accelerator for Tourism program would provide customised digital health checks to ensure businesses optimise their websites, improve their online listings and grow their Facebook and Instagram channels.

 

“This program ensures business operators have the social media know-how to stand out in a crowded digital marketplace and learn a new skill at the same time,” Mr Griffin said.


IMPORTANT STEP FORWARD FOR NEW WOMEN’S REFUGES

Women and children escaping domestic and family violence in Manly will soon receive greater support with expressions of interest for the first of round of funding for new women’s refuges set to open on 9 May.

Member for Manly James Griffin MP encouraged local organisations to apply for NSW Government funding to deliver new women’s refuges across NSW.

“The NSW Government is prioritising supporting victim-survivors of Domestic Violence across NSW and this funding is being made available to deliver refuges to support women and children leaving violence,” Mr Griffin said.


NORTHERN BEACHES WELCOMES NEW POLICE OFFICERS

Five new probationary constables will commence duties on the Northern Beaches after they attested at a formal ceremony at the Goulburn Police Academy last week.

Member for Manly James Griffin MP welcomed the new police officers to the Northern Beaches.

“On behalf of the community, I am pleased to welcome the 5 new police officers to the Northern Beaches police area command”. Mr Griffin said.
