“This campaign celebrates the resilience and strength of the NSW community and encourages everyone aged 16 years and older to get their booster shot three months after their second dose,” Mr Griffin said.

$25,600 awarded to 2 Local Groups for anti-littering project

The Manly community will be cleaner thanks to a $1.8 million NSW Government grants program.
Manly MP James Griffin announced today that Friends of Freshwater and Operation Straw will receive $14,600 & $11,000 respectively as part of a $1.8 million litter prevention program managed by the NSW Environment Protection Authority (EPA) that aims to tackle local litter hotspots.
“Grassroots organisations such as Friends of Freshwater and Operation Straw know better than anyone where local litter hotspots are and how best to tackle the problem. That’s why we award grants to support litter efforts at a local level,” Mr Griffin said.

MANLY FAMILIES SET TO BENEFIT FROM BEFORE AND AFTERSCHOOL CARE VOUCHERS

Parents and carers of children enrolled in primary schools in NSW will benefit from a new $155 million program for Before and After School Care (BASC) services to provide greater support and access to BASC services.
The $500 voucher will assist families who use BASC services by contributing to the parent gap fee component of their session fees.
Member for Manly, James Griffin MP said this will be a much needed support for working families.
“It’s been challenging for families with school-aged children, many have had to juggle the demands of supervising their kids’ education while working remotely,” Mr Griffin said.
