Keirle Park Tennis Centre benefits from the ATP Cup Legacy Fund Grant

Tennis in Manly has received a boost following the awarding of grants in Round 2 of the NSW ATP Cup Tennis Legacy Fund.

The NSW Government, in partnership with Tennis NSW, is investing $2.4 million over three years to ensure community tennis benefits from NSW hosting the ATP Cup at Ken Rosewall Arena.

Member for Manly, James Griffin said Super Kids Sport had received a grant of $4,676.00 to pilot a girl’s winter sport program, including a girl’s foundation coaching course.

“Tennis is extremely popular on the Northern Beaches,” Mr Griffin said.


COVID Check-In Mandate Expanded

Use of the Service NSW QR code will be mandatory at all workplaces and retail businesses from Monday 12 July.

Member for Manly, James Griffin said expanding the mandate would give NSW Health contact tracers real-time access to QR code data from a greater number of venues including supermarkets, retail stores, gyms and offices

“This is about keeping our local customers and staff safe and getting all businesses open again as soon as possible,” Mr Griffin said.


Harbord Kikoff Soccer Centre Receives Sport Facility Grant

Sport in the Northern Beaches has received a major boost after the NSW Government announced a $472,640.00 grant for the Harbord Kikoff soccer centre.

The grant was awarded to Harbord Kikoff soccer centre for a project that involves playing field resurfacing, lighting, and fencing of designated playing areas.  While also upgrading the portable disabled access ramps and covered seating.

The grant was part of Round One of the NSW Government’s Greater Cities Sport Facility Fund which will see $50 million awarded to sporting bodies and councils over two years for new and upgraded sports facilities in greater Sydney, Newcastle and Wollongong.
