Boost for Northern Beaches Not-For-Profit Preschools in 2021

Preschool and day care centres across the state will be able to improve their services, with more than $11 million in funding announced today. 

A number of Northern Beaches Community Preschools have been successful in accessing funds from the Quality Learning Environment grants to help deliver various projects across the preschools.


Tafe NSW offers Skills Support to Northern Beaches Small Business'

The NSW Government has made it easier for small businesses in the Northern Beaches to access fee-free and discounted courses to help kick start the COVID recovery, Member for Manly, James Griffin announced today.

Mr Griffin said TAFE NSW has developed a Small Business Recovery one-stop shop for a range of government-subsidised training opportunities to help build the skills and resilience of local small businesses amid the COVID-induced downturn.

 


Member for Manly Fights for More than one Freshwater Class Ferry to be Retained

Member for Manly James Griffin said that he welcomed Transport for NSW’s decision to retain one Freshwater Class ferry, but is fighting to retain more than one of the historic boats.

“I was elected to fight for Manly. I’m determined to ensure we respect our history and retain another Freshwater ferry. That is why I’m fighting to retain more than one Freshwater Class ferry. The declining patronage on the Freshwater Class is not good enough reason to keep only one Freshwater Ferry,” Mr Griffin said.
