Northern Beaches Bus Service Update

Dear resident,

Further to my last update regarding Northern Beaches Bus service changes, I’m pleased to let you know that our ongoing work with the Transport Minister’s office and Transport for NSW is delivering outcomes.

TfNSW has listened to our feedback and is in the process of addressing the concerns and issues I raised on your behalf to the Minister’s office. This includes reinstating school buses, providing extra services to help with connections and increasing bus capacity so no one is left behind and students are at school on time.

I am still here to listen to your concerns and by no means are we stopping at just these changes. I have spoken to the Minister’s office today and reinforced the need to resolve other outstanding issues relating to bus services in our area.

I have provided a quick list below of some of the changes that directly affect our area. For more information please head to the TfNSW website.

Departs Mona Vale at 7:09am and transports students direct to Balgowlah Boys High.

New Route

Morning trip from North Balgowlah Shops to Milsons Point at 7:40.

Easier connection

To allow an easier connection, a 162 Service from Balgowlah Shops will leave at 8:15 and become a 723n service to Oxford Falls after Seaforth Shops.

This trip will operate via Maretimo Street and Sydney Road instead of Ethel Street.

Increased Capacity

7:31 from Manly bus will now become a larger ‘bendy’ bus to accommodate more passengers.

Extra Service

An extra service from North Balgowlah Shops to St Luke’s Dee Why will run from 7:36

Extended Service

7:25 service from Wynyard will now run to St Luke’s Dee Why, via Manly Vale and Balgowlah for school students

Increased Capacity

Kind regards,

James Griffin MP
