On Demand Public Transport

+ Launching in November 2017 - On Demand Public Transport!

As part of a six-month trial, up to two-years depending on the trial's success, Manly has been chosen for the NSW Government's on demand public transport program, called Ride Plus. The service is a 'point-to-hub', or 'first mile, last mile' solution -- this means you can be picked up from any address and driven to a pre-defined hub, and vice versa.

Which areas will be serviced by Ride Plus?

As part of the trial, the following suburbs have been chosen to first experience on-demand public transport:

  • Balgowlah
  • Balgowlah Heights
  • Clontarf
  • Fairlight
  • Freshwater
  • Manly
  • Queenscliff...and more!

Where are the four dedicated hubs?

You can either be picked up from any address and be taken to the following hubs, or vice versa:

  • Manly Wharf
  • B-Line at Warringah Mall/Brookvale Community Health Centre
  • B-Line at Kenneth Road, Manly Vale
  • Balgowlah shopping precinct

How will I be able to book my Ride Plus trip?

Booking the service will be done via the an app through the Apple App Store or from Google Play, allowing you to book, track and pay directly from your phone! Bookings will also be available through the Ride Plus website at www.ride-plus.com.au (website under construction)

You will also recieve a pick-up onfirmation prior to your shuttle arrival on the actual day of travel.

Single-trips will cost just $3.10, payable via credit or debit card through the app or online.

More information will become available as we get closer to the launch date in November 2017.
