Record 50 New and Upgraded Schools in 2020

50 upgraded or new schools have been delivered in NSW this year, with the 50th school being opened today in Tamworth.

The NSW Government is committed to providing all public school students with the very best modern learning environments.

James Griffin, Member for Manly said the government have been able to deliver one major school project in the Northern Beaches every year for the past three years. This year as part of the 50 new or upgraded schools throughout NSW we can include Curl Curl North Public School.

“I am proud that the NSW Government had delivered such a significant project for the Northern Beaches.

“Curl Curl North Public School will benefit the local community for generations to come. This wonderful new school comes directly off the back of Manly Vale and Harbord being upgraded. This represents an unprecedented level of investment in schools throughout the electorate” said Mr Griffin.

Minister for Education Sarah Mitchell said “We have forged ahead on school infrastructure works this year under extraordinarily challenging circumstances and delivered approximately $1.5 billion work of new and upgraded schools. We will continue to work hard providing for communities across the State.”

The NSW Government is investing $6.7 billion over four years to deliver more than 190 new and upgraded schools to support communities across NSW. This is the largest investment in public education infrastructure in the history of NSW.
