Revoke the Cuts to Opportunity Classes (OC)

The NSW Government has proposed to halve the number of Opportunity Classes (OC) allocated to seven NSW schools, including Balgowlah Heights Public School. Rather than creating new OC places to accommodate population growth and growing demand, the proposal rearranges existing places at the expense of schools who have been successfully implementing the program. This decision threatens to harm the overall quality of the NSW OC model.

If this is an issue that matters to you, I encourage you to sign the ePetition currently before the NSW Legislative Assembly which calls on the Government to refrain from implementing cuts to existing OC schools and engage with the community on any proposed changes.
