Volleyfest Bounces Back to Manly in 2020

The popular beach volleyball tournament Volleyfest will be back on the golden sands of Manly next year.

Member for Manly James Griffin said the NSW Government will support the 2020 international event as the country’s best volleyballers build-up to the Tokyo Summer Olympics.

“New South Wales is the number one choice for events of all kinds and Manly Beach is of course an iconic location,” Mr Griffin said.

“Volleyball Australia President Craig Carracher has worked extremely hard with the NSW Government and the Northern Beaches Council to deliver this unique sporting event.”

Volleyfest 2020 event will see Manly Beach come alive with 5 days of non-stop action, featuring the Australian Senior Beach Volleyball Championships, Australian Olympic Team Selection camp, NSW School Beach Volleyball Cup and NSW Junior Beach Volleyball Championships.

“People want less talk and more action from their politicians. I am proud to again deliver on my commitment to always fight for our community,” Mr Griffin said.

“Manly Beach will deliver a week of fun in the sun, with the added bonus of international exhibition matches being played in line with the 2020 Olympics.”

Volleyball Australia has also committed to host a three day National Beach Volleyball Tour event in a regional coastal area in 2020.
