Thousands of People Supported by Ageing and Disability Commission

The NSW Ageing and Disability Commission has supported thousands of the state’s most vulnerable people across the state during its first year in operation.

Member for Manly James Griffin said the Commission, led by Robert Fitzgerald AM, was helping protect adults with disability and older people from abuse, neglect and exploitation in their family, home and community.

“Everyone has the right to live free from abuse and we all have a role to play to ensure older people and adults with a disability are protected,” Mr Griffin said.


More Community Grants for the Northern Beaches

A funding boost for a leading youth engagement program will inspire and empower young people to stand united against hate, extremism, fear and division.

Member for Manly James Griffin is encouraging organisations on the Northern Beaches to apply for the Community Partnership Action (COMPACT) grants program, which will support community partnerships to build social cohesion and community resilience.


$3.85 Million Boost for Green Open Space

Applications are open for the latest round of the NSW Government’s Metropolitan Greenspace Program, with Councils across Greater Sydney and the Central Coast encouraged to apply for their share of $3.85 million in funding.

Member for Manly James Griffin said investment in local green spaces will serve the community for generations to come.

“From pedestrian and cycle pathways to new and upgraded parks, this funding will support the delivery of projects that make our neighbourhoods more enjoyable places to live,” Mr Griffin said.
