FUNDING ANNOUNCED - 2022 COMMUNITY BUILDING PARTNERSHIP PROGRAM

The electorate of Manly has secured $430,000 in funding for a total of fifteen projects through the NSW Government’s 2022 Community Building Partnership Program.

Member for Manly James Griffin said the State Government funds will deliver much-needed improvements to local facilities including disability access pathways, defibrillators, an outdoor classroom, and drinking fountains with bottle fillers.

“This is fantastic news for Manly,” Mr Griffin said.

“This grassroots funding will directly help create a more vibrant and inclusive local community with positive social and recreational outcomes.

The full list of successful projects in the Manly electorate for the 2022 round are:

  • Bareena Park Tennis Club – $25,000 - Clubhouse wall & practice board replacement
  • Manly Warringah Football Association - $11,980 – Two fully monitored publicly accessible defibrillator projects
  • NBSC Balgowlah Boys P&C - $28,243 – Installation of 13 drinking fountains with bottle fillers
  • The Scout Association of Australia, Harbord - $32,340 - Floor Replacement
  • Manly Village Public School P&C - $30,600 - Pathway with disability access to playground over exposed tree roots
  • Queenscliff Boardriders Club - $20,000 – Trailer to transport equipment for competitions and social events
  • Balgowlah Heights Public School P&C - $24,926 – Outdoor classroom
  • Freshwater Surf Life Saving Club - $16,000 – Repairs and maintenance to Surf Club foyer and office
  • The Burdekin Association Inc - $5,000 – Improvements to an Out of Homecare House
  • Seaforth Bowling Club Ltd - $48,618 – Powerwall battery storage to utilize 82 existing solar panels
  • Northside Enterprise Inc - $80,000* - Project Blue Sky – Reimagining our Space
  • Club Weldon Inc - $57,593 – Installation of drainage for Mike Pawley and Frank Grey Ovals
  • Manly Warringah District Cricket Club - $40,000 – Installation of turf cricket pitches at Seaforth Oval
  • Manly Croquet Club Inc - $9,700 – New lawn mower for Manly Croquet Club

The Community Building Partnership program has funded more than 18,000 community projects since it commenced in 2009.

Applications for the 2023 Program open in May 2023.
