Green Light For Northern Beaches School Projects

A building blitz across NSW will take place in public schools thanks to the new $120 million Metro Renewal Program announced by the NSW Government.

The Metro Renewal Program will accelerate the delivery of community funded school infrastructure projects to deliver modern facilities to students and communities.

Member for Manly, James Griffin said the NSW Government is continuing its record investment in school infrastructure and ensuring our students access modern facilities.


Skilling for Recovery Fee-Free Training for the Northern Beaches Community

Hundreds of fee-free training courses are now available for Northern Beaches school leavers, young people and job seekers, as part of the NSW Government’s Skilling for Recovery initiative.

Member for Manly, James Griffin said the courses come from the $320 million committed to delivering 100,000 fee-free training places giving locals in the Manly area an excellent opportunity to investigate fee-free training options.

“I encourage anyone impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic to see what training options are available to them,” Mr Griffin said.


New Laws to Regulate Short-Term Rentals

Short-term rental accommodation hosts, guests, letting agents and online booking platform operators will soon be subject to strict new laws with a mandatory Code of Conduct for the industry to begin in December.

Member for Manly James Griffin said the new Code, which was released earlier this week, includes clear guidance and obligations for hosts and guests centred on minimum standards of good behaviour.
