Sevenmile Event to Empower Personal Growth is Set to Bring Together Women on the Northern Beaches

James Griffin, Member for Manly is encouraging women to participate in SEVENmile’s free NSW Women’s Week event on Friday, 12 March 2021 in Seaforth.

Mr Griffin welcomed the event and said it would bring women together to celebrate and inspire each other.

The event was funded as part of the NSW Government’s $100,000 Women’s Week Grants program to promote and support women’s education, employment and wellbeing.

Minister for Women Bronnie Taylor said the wide-ranging events taking part during Women’s Week across the state would help communities connect and celebrate the diverse contributions of local women.

“From the paddock to the playground, the boardroom to the building site, women are at the heart of our vision to build a safer, stronger New South Wales,” Mrs Taylor said.

NSW Women’s Week begins on March 8 and promotes gender equality while celebrating the social, cultural and political achievements of women.

Events support at least one of the key priorities of the NSW Women’s Strategy 2018-2022 by improving women’s financial wellbeing and security, encouraging a holistic approach to health and wellbeing or helping women to build confidence and celebrate their achievements.

The 27 funded events across the state also include online and face-to-face craft classes, a music industry professionals’ masterclass and an outdoor yoga workshop.
