Seniors across the Northern Beaches will benefit from a cash boost to the 2020 NSW Seniors Festival, encouraging them to get active, socialise, learn new skills and connect with services.

Member for Manly James Griffin has announced a share of $200,000 is available for local organisations helping them to deliver events that celebrate seniors.


New $50 Weekly Public Transport Cap Begins Today

Member for Manly James Griffin has welcomed the NSW Government’s introduction of the $50 Opal weekly travel cap which takes effect today, saving tens of thousands of regular public transport users across the Northern Beaches up to $686 a year.

In welcoming the announcement, Mr Griffin said that the decision to slash the current cap by around 20 per cent will help to ease cost of living pressures for the thousands of bus and ferry customers on the Northern Beaches.


A State-Building Budget for the Northern Beaches

The NSW Government is getting on with the job by delivering on its election commitments, investing a record $93 billion in infrastructure, cutting taxes and providing cost of living relief for local families in the 2019-20 NSW Budget.

A surplus of $802 million is projected for 2018-19 with surpluses averaging $1.7 billion over the four years to 2022-23, continuing the NSW Liberals & Nationals’ strong financial management even in the face of tougher economic conditions.
